Base Salary
$210k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own AI infrastructure for reliable software on top of non-deterministic models.
- Develop agentic workflows, prompt iteration systems, tools, and evaluation infrastructure.
- Build flexible, auditable approval routing configured through natural language.
- Develop an intelligent collections agent that autonomously runs reminder and escalation workflows.
- Shape fundamental architecture and product direction while collaborating with design, product, and customers.
- Take responsibility for shipping and operating revenue-critical production systems.
Requirements
- Experience shipping LLM-based systems to real customers and understanding how they fail in production.
- Experience designing agentic systems using concepts such as embeddings, memory, tool use, long-running state, and recovery from partial failures.
- Experience building evaluation infrastructure, including datasets, LLM-as-judge systems, prompt regression tests, and monitoring.
- Production backend engineering experience and a focus on resilient, reliable software.
- Informed opinions about tooling for building, evaluating, and securely running multi-provider AI systems in production.
- Strong understanding of AI security and the threat vectors of treating models as untrusted by default.
- Comfort with ambiguity, customer-focused product development, production responsibility, and on-call work.
- Clear, thoughtful communication and willingness to take end-to-end ownership.
