Responsibilities
- Design and build core components of the Cloud Governance Platform.
- Contribute to the roadmap for governance and security tooling across AWS and GCP.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into automated controls.
- Build and maintain software supply-chain security tooling.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Product Engineering teams.
- Share technical knowledge through code reviews and collaboration.
- Communicate technical approaches and risks in design discussions.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in Golang, Python, or similar.
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM systems, and threat models.
- Experience designing and operating reliable, scalable distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority.
