Base Salary
$224k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend systems and APIs for fleet operations, dispatch, and deployment platforms.
- Build and maintain secure, high-performance cloud services supporting reliable mission-critical operations.
- Develop backend services, developer tools, and frameworks that enable other teams to build and ship faster.
- Engineer services behind operator- and customer-facing applications.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to take systems from concept to production.
- Lead code reviews, testing, documentation, and engineer mentoring while developing technical leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building backend systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, or a similar programming language.
- Strong command of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability under production pressure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and large-scale or event-driven architectures is highly preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading team projects is a plus.
