Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and implement custom software solutions on the Appian platform for commercial clients
- Work across the full software development and project lifecycle with customers and their technical and business teams
- Understand client business processes and technical needs and gather requirements
- Launch new relational data models in production
- Develop APIs and integrations with multiple systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services
- Collaborate with customers throughout implementation and drive adoption by enabling clients to build process applications independently
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design and data modeling, and SQL queries, joins, and views
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
- Willingness to travel 20% to support customer engagements
- Bilingual Japanese and English communication skills
- Ability to gather functional and technical requirements and define business processes with clients
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and building products using agile practices
- Knowledge of software testing, automated test suites, continuous integration, APIs, REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services
- Familiarity with AWS, artificial intelligence, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, databases, developer tools, management and governance, and elastic containers is preferred
