Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer interviews covering current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Define requirements and perform solution design, development, testing, implementation support, and maintenance for business automation systems.
  • Propose and support adoption of low-code/no-code, RPA, AI-OCR, cloud, AI, and other IT solutions.
  • Identify customer needs and propose new or additional deployments using Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and related services.
  • Manage customer communications, meetings, presentation materials, and facilitation.
  • Build technical expertise and pursue certifications in low-code/no-code, RPA, and AI-OCR tools.
  • Convert client automation and efficiency-improvement examples into reusable assets and share knowledge with team members.
  • For manager-level hires, lead accounts and clients, contribute to competitive-bid proposals, manage prime projects, and develop future IT consultants and project managers.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in design, development, or testing within business-system development projects.
  • Experience with back-office systems such as sales management, inventory management, financial accounting, human resources, or attendance management is relevant.
  • Experience creating presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint or similar tools.
  • Native-level Japanese ability, equivalent to Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 or higher.
  • Experience in consulting or systems integration is preferred, while in-house company and internal IT engineering experience are also accepted.
  • Experience implementing low-code/no-code, RPA, or AI projects is preferred.
  • Practical experience with Java, JavaScript, VB.NET, or SQL is preferred.
  • Experience communicating with clients and project stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience preparing proposals for competitive bidding is preferred.
  • Strong development skills, willingness to take on upstream work, adaptability, continuous learning, and collaborative project communication are sought.

Benefits

  • Permanent employment with a three-month probationary period.
  • Flex-time work schedule with flexible hours from 5:00 to 22:00 and an approximately eight-hour workday.
  • Toranomon office in Tokyo, with remote work generally available one to three days per week depending on the project.
  • Possible client-site assignment for approximately 15–20% of the work, depending on the project.
  • Annual salary ranges are listed by consultant, senior consultant, and manager class; manager figures include performance bonus.
  • Annual salary increase, annual bonus eligibility for senior consultant level and above, commuting allowance, overtime, holiday, and late-night allowances subject to applicable conditions.
