Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the shared Security AI platform architecture and reusable patterns for governed agentic workflows.
  • Design and develop production-grade capabilities for agent identity, least-privilege access, sandboxing, egress control, secret isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, rollback, and safe deployment.
  • Establish standards and measurement systems for reliability, observability, evaluation, incident response, cost, safety, governance, autonomy, and business value.
  • Design guardrails and qualification mechanisms for high-risk workflows involving untrusted inputs, privileged tools, sensitive data, production access, and automated tool execution.
  • Align engineering and security leaders across multiple organizations on platform direction, architectural tradeoffs, adoption priorities, and technical standards.
  • Drive adoption of common platform patterns and replace duplicated or inconsistent security implementations.
  • Mentor engineers, lead rigorous design reviews, and raise standards for reliability, operability, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, security platform architecture, or systems security, with experience operating at an L7/Senior Staff level at a major cloud, platform, or high-growth technology company.
  • Exceptional fluency in Python and modern cloud-native systems architecture, including Kubernetes, distributed streaming or storage, and high-throughput microservices.
  • Experience delivering fault-tolerant, low-latency security infrastructure and executing multi-quarter architectural transformations across multiple organizations.
  • Deep practical expertise in AI/ML security, agentic system trust boundaries, prompt injection, tool-use risks, adversarial testing, identity and authorization, data protection, and secure deployment of AI-enabled systems.
  • Experience designing platform guardrails for sensitive workflows involving untrusted inputs, privileged tools, secrets, production systems, or confidential data.
  • Strong technical communication skills and the ability to explain complex platform, security, and reliability tradeoffs to engineers, security leaders, and senior executives.
  • Track record of raising technical standards through design reviews, mentorship, written architecture proposals, and influence beyond formal reporting lines.
  • Preferred experience includes building secure agent platforms, developer platforms, security control planes, or internal infrastructure used by multiple teams.
  • Preferred experience includes MLOps, AI serving infrastructure, security data platforms, detection systems, large-scale security automation, LLM training pipelines, vector databases, or AI agent runtime environments.
  • Published research, patents, recognized open-source security contributions, or knowledge of EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF requirements is desirable.
