Base Salary
$70k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operation of AWS platform services, including monitoring, logging, access control, patching, backup, and configuration management.
- Resolve operational tickets, escalate complex issues, and document resolutions clearly.
- Convert recurring manual tasks into scripts, automation, and standardized deployment patterns.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation under senior engineer guidance.
- Help onboard workloads to platform services and standard deployment patterns.
- Maintain accurate runbooks, procedures, and system documentation.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Cybersecurity staff on DoD security and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in cloud, DevOps, systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related field; internships, labs, and military experience count.
- AWS certification or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Basic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Linux and Git-based workflows.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination.
- Preferred: AWS Associate-level certification, CompTIA Security+, Terraform or CloudFormation experience, Docker and ECS/EKS exposure, GitLab or Jenkins experience, federal or DoD experience, and a bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
