Responsibilities
- Plan and lead production deployment of cloud solutions.
- Develop scripts and integration code connecting multiple software components.
- Automate environment provisioning and deployment using configuration-management tools and containers.
- Design automation workflows, perform unit testing and reviews, and optimize platform performance.
- Evaluate and build compute frameworks for different infrastructure tiers.
- Implement scalable infrastructure and system solutions.
- Migrate on-premises solutions to cloud-based offerings.
- Support cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineering teams to solve complex business problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or military experience.
- At least 1 year of experience developing applications using Agile principles.
- At least 1 year of experience with a formal version-control tool such as Subversion, Git, TFS, or ClearCase.
- At least 2 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
- At least 2 years of enterprise Linux system administration experience.
- At least 2 years of infrastructure design experience.
- At least 3 years of continuous integration experience.
- At least 2 years of continuous deployment and monitoring experience.
- At least 3 years of build and deployment automation experience using Jenkins.
- At least 2 years of AWS provisioning and monitoring experience.
- At least 2 years of infrastructure automation experience with Chef or Ansible.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, AWS certification, experience with Chef cookbooks, cloud hosting platforms, server-provisioning automation, large-scale software implementation, Linux scripting, and open-source licensing strategies.
- Strong communication, independent problem-solving, collaboration, curiosity, and automation skills are expected.
