Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and deliver robust cloud-based solutions using Python, Go, databases, networking services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and mentor members of the engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with Go or Python, 3+ years with AWS, 4+ years contributing to open source frameworks, and 3+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include 4+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs, experience with AI coding tools and IDE copilots, mentoring experience, and observability experience in distributed systems.
