Base Salary
$159k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services in Go.
- Build high-performance APIs for customer-facing workflows and internal platform capabilities.
- Design and optimize graph database schemas and queries.
- Implement event-driven systems that process real-time operational data streams.
- Develop automated tests covering correctness, security, and performance.
- Build and operate AWS-deployed microservices and improve resilience and cost-aware scaling.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with frontend engineers and cyber operations experts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building backend or full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency with Go and production experience shipping Go services.
- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune, including schema design and query performance.
- Working knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues or streaming systems.
- Experience building and maintaining REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, plus containerization and microservices architectures.
- Strong secure coding foundation and ability to reason about security tradeoffs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required; some positions may require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include defense or security software experience, mission-critical systems experience, AI/ML production integration, large-scale data processing, open-source contributions, and observability experience.
