Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed within customer engineering teams, understand their business and technical constraints, and translate business problems into scalable AI-enabled production systems.
- Build production AI applications including multi-agent orchestration, retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, and decision intelligence systems.
- Integrate foundation models, customer data sources, APIs, and existing applications into cohesive AI experiences.
- Own production rollout and operationalization, including incident troubleshooting, monitoring, evaluations, guardrails, rollback, resiliency, and reliability mechanisms.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and create reusable patterns, accelerators, and reference architectures.
- Mentor engineers and contribute reusable components, engineering practices, and learnings to AWS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading agentic and spec-driven development at production scale; experience developing AI agents is a plus.
- Experience with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
