Base Salary
$141k - $188k/yr
Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne’s emergency communications platform.
- Install, maintain, integrate, and contribute to PBX and unified communications projects.
- Provide customized unified communications solutions to clients.
- Onboard new customers according to customer requirements, solution specifications, and Carbyne best practices.
- Create and maintain technical specifications and solution documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to the Operations team on 911 emergency communications systems.
- Work on the real-time communications team to deliver highly available 911 infrastructure.
- Act as a technical liaison among Operations, Engineering, Sales, the CTO Office, and Product Managers.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience installing and deploying open-source unified communications platforms such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or Asterisk.
- Extensive experience with VoIP architecture, deployments, SIP, SDP, RTP, WebRTC, audio and video codecs, packetization, encryption, transport, and troubleshooting.
- At least 3 years of experience deploying open-source VoIP solutions in solutions-focused roles.
- At least 3 years of networking experience, including the OSI model and all seven network layers.
- Good understanding of Linux environments and bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience deploying on private and public network/security clouds, including AWS.
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA Voice are desirable.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure is desirable.
