Responsibilities
- Define product software architectures and create development blueprints based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support customer project teams by providing software architecture solutions aligned with regional and OEM expectations.
- Participate in design decisions, change control boards, key reviews, and architectural risk evaluation.
- Mentor architects and development teams on architectural best practices, processes, and technical solutions.
- Maintain high-quality architecture artifacts, track compliance topics, and represent ASPICE evaluations.
- Manage technical complexity, evaluate alternatives, drive process improvements, and promote software reusability.
- Work with multisite, interdisciplinary teams and represent the organization on software architecture matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing software architectures in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of software architecture standards, design patterns, architectural styles, and technical infrastructure.
- Strong ability to describe software architectures using programming languages, with C and C++ required.
- Experience with requirements management, traceability, and architecture tools such as DOORS.
- Experience with microcontrollers, resource management, and software performance optimization for multicore and distributed systems.
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle architectures and associated systems, with AUTOSAR required.
- Experience with automotive security, safety, connected-systems standards, code quality, MISRA, and other programming-language standards.
- Ability to execute automotive software quality processes, with ASPICE representation a key qualification.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and lead a team of architects.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASPICE is preferred; ISAQB certification is an advantage.
