Responsibilities
- Understand developer needs across Netflix and create effective JavaScript solutions and abstractions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the external JavaScript community to evolve Netflix’s JavaScript vision.
- Build and integrate libraries, tools, and workflows that help developers create JavaScript software efficiently.
- Define and improve dependency management, packaging, and publishing for Node.js.
- Solve complex architectural problems through simple, intuitive designs.
- Drive adoption of new technologies across existing complex systems.
- Align stakeholders and maintain feedback loops across internal and external groups.
Requirements
- Experience working deeply with JavaScript ecosystems and developer use cases.
- Ability to collaborate with customers, partners, internal stakeholders, and the external JavaScript community.
- Ability to create clarity, drive alignment, and communicate technical and non-technical initiatives.
- Curiosity, proactive learning, and a tendency to understand problems deeply before acting.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize effectively in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong storytelling and ability to connect Netflix’s ecosystem with the broader JavaScript ecosystem.
