Responsibilities
- Own Android SDKs and associated functionality with a focus on integration with Flutter.
- Influence technical strategy for building SDKs that mobile developers will appreciate.
- Drive discussions on system architecture and component design.
- Design intuitive and performant APIs for Android and Flutter developers.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards for code quality.
- Ship code frequently in an iterative environment.
- Collaborate with a small team that values ownership and learning.
- Partner with Product and other teams to deliver on technical vision.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support customers.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in mobile development with a track record of building Android applications or SDKs.
- Strong knowledge of Android and its core frameworks.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin or Java and modern Android tooling.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Experience building and maintaining public-facing APIs or SDKs.
- Hands-on experience with Flutter in a production context is strongly preferred.
- Passion for learning and improving the developer experience.
