Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Payabli’s AWS cloud infrastructure across networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, staged rollouts, rollback strategies, and deployment observability.
- Improve local development and cloud or agent development environments so engineers can become productive quickly.
- Build secure environments for AI coding agents and assistants within PCI-compliant infrastructure.
- Define and execute the platform roadmap in partnership with engineering leadership.
- Implement PCI-DSS controls including network segmentation, secrets management, access controls, encryption, and audit trails.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and observability systems and support incident response.
- Document infrastructure patterns, write runbooks, and establish standards that improve engineering self-sufficiency.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
- Production AWS experience supporting real traffic at scale and deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture trade-offs.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Fluency with declarative infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Knowledge of network segmentation, least-privilege access, secrets management, and encryption at rest and in transit.
- Ability to independently identify infrastructure gaps, develop plans, and drive execution.
- Strong communication skills for explaining infrastructure decisions to leadership and engineers.
- Preferred experience in fintech, payments, or PCI-DSS-regulated environments.
- Preferred experience enabling AI/ML workflows, coding agents, or LLM-based tooling.
- Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem on AWS, developer platforms or internal tooling, observability stacks, on-call processes, and Kubernetes.
