Base Salary
$160k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable automation frameworks for embedded software and cloud integrations.
- Develop and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test benches that simulate complex field conditions.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain quality gates for builds.
- Validate end-to-end data paths from physical optical links to backend monitoring dashboards with Cloud and Embedded teams.
- Create automated regression suites for network throughput, latency, performance, and system stability.
- Identify edge cases involving weather, physical movement, and other field conditions that may affect software performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or system validation.
- Strong proficiency in Python for test-script development and automation.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI for automated triggers and reporting.
- Proven experience testing software on physical devices or in simulation environments, such as Raspberry Pis, custom PCBs, or networking gear.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, Wireshark, and iPerf.
- Experience with network management protocols such as gRPC and SNMP is preferred.
- Experience testing optical sensors, motors, or wireless communications is preferred.
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to containerize test environments is preferred.
- Ability to use SQL or Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy to analyze telemetry data is preferred.
