Responsibilities
- Build and improve user-facing features for the JioHotstar website and applications.
- Design and deliver high-quality distributed applications at large scale.
- Assess the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them.
- Own features from design through delivery.
- Build reusable code and cross-functional libraries for the in-house design system.
- Review code and uphold coding standards.
- Document and demonstrate solutions using documentation, DFDs, and code comments.
- Support and mentor software engineers through advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
- Optimize the web experience for devices with constrained memory and networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 4–7 years of professional experience as a frontend developer.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and strong experience with HTML and CSS.
- Deep understanding of browser operation and design and architecture patterns.
- Strong command of modern frameworks, tools, and libraries.
- Proficiency with Git and other code versioning tools.
- Open-source contribution is desirable.
- Prior collaboration with external vendors is preferred.
