Responsibilities
- Develop technical plans and contribute to technical architecture as Fin scales to serve tens of millions of people daily.
- Write Ruby code integrating AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies for Fin’s backend.
- Build backend and frontend systems across areas such as messaging, rule matching, deliverability, security, availability, and machine learning.
- Ship changes and features rapidly through Fin’s frequent production deployment process.
- Mentor other engineers and interview candidates.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to solve customer problems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably building SaaS products.
- Demonstrated significant impact on a product and/or engineering team.
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers and delivering value to customers or users.
- Experience with distributed systems.
