Responsibilities
- Write C++ applications for Linux TV and Android TV environments.
- Extract video frame buffers and PCM audio from hardware pipelines and convert them into content-recognition fingerprints.
- Work with TV engineering teams at partners including Sony, TCL, and Titan OS to integrate and validate Samba’s SDK.
- Deploy and debug applications on real embedded devices over network, USB, or serial connections.
- Participate actively in code reviews and explain technical reasoning clearly.
- Own deliverables independently without a finished roadmap or close supervision.
Requirements
- Hands-on high-level C++ development experience.
- Prior embedded device development experience deploying code from a laptop to real devices over network, USB, or serial connections.
- Experience working at the embedded Linux system layer, preferably with a TV OEM/ODM, TV SoC company, or mobile hardware company.
- Comfort with the Linux command line.
- Experience processing video or audio frames, including frame buffers and PCM audio from hardware video pipelines.
- Strong communication, code-review, reasoning, and independent ownership skills.
- Experience must extend beyond driver- or firmware-only development.
