Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement spatial data structures, entity-component system frameworks, spatial indexing, occupancy representations, and 4D object management for large-scale multi-agent environments.
  • Build and optimize computational geometry and world-state systems connecting raw sensor data with path planning, including coordinate frame management, spatial queries, and environment abstraction layers.
  • Write highly optimized C++20 focused on low latency, cache efficiency, memory efficiency, profiling, allocation reduction, and real-time performance.
  • Drive architectural decisions and design clean APIs for integration across air, ground, and maritime autonomy stacks.
  • Collaborate with sensor, planning, and simulation engineers and mentor teams as a technical anchor.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in spatial systems, world modeling, or simulation environments.
  • Expert-level C++ skills using C++20 or later, including template metaprogramming, move semantics, SIMD, and systems-level performance optimization.
  • Experience building world or scene representations with dynamic object state, spatial indexing, and real-time updates.
  • Strong computational geometry background, including coordinate transformations, spatial data structures such as BVH, octrees, and k-d trees, geometric algorithms, and collision or proximity systems.
  • Deep experience designing low-latency, high-throughput software for real-time environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and shell scripting for tooling and automation.
  • Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and AI-assisted development workflows.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Preferred experience with Linux, Docker, C++ toolchains, Nix, Bazel, cross-compilation, temporal reasoning systems, 4D scene representation, game development, simulation, virtual environments, physics engines, collision detection, autonomous systems, or robotics software architectures.
  • Willingness to travel as project requirements demand, potentially up to once a month for up to one week, approximately 20%.

Benefits

  • In-office work is expected 5 days per week, with occasional remote-work flexibility.
  • Benefits include equity, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
  • Travel may be required, potentially up to once a month for up to one week, approximately 20%.
