Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, scalable distributed data services for analytics, AI, and business-critical insights.
- Develop and evolve system components across the full software development lifecycle.
- Integrate open-source technologies with Apple's internal platforms.
- Design reliable and performant data systems incorporating generative AI and intelligent automation.
- Collaborate with internal customers and engineering partners to understand data needs and propose ecosystem improvements.
- Drive technical discussions and initiatives from concept through completion.
Requirements
- Experience building enterprise-level data applications on distributed systems and cloud databases such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and RESTful API development.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including test-driven development.
- Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and foundational generative AI concepts, including LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
