Base Salary
$215k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own components of Crusoe Cloud's managed container registry at scale.
- Deliver features across design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operation.
- Solve complex cloud-provider and distributed-systems problems with pragmatic designs.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams on customer- and operations-focused solutions.
- Develop sustainable software with production observability and improve reliability and root-cause detection.
- Identify and implement improvements that make systems easier, safer, and faster to operate.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Solid understanding of fault-tolerant distributed systems under high load and experience contributing to production services.
- Hands-on experience profiling and benchmarking real systems and reasoning about performance tradeoffs.
- Strong fundamentals in microservices and cloud-native infrastructure technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners.
- Interest in mentoring new teammates and helping engineers grow.
- Bonus: familiarity with OCI image and distribution specifications.
- Bonus: experience building container registry products.
- Bonus: experience with storage or caching systems at scale.
