Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a self-service developer platform that abstracts infrastructure complexity and supports application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Orchestrate Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources with attention to performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and reusable development and deployment templates.
- Drive application reliability through fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and scaling practices.
- Improve platform operations and observability to monitor platform health and proactively resolve incidents.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to understand needs and promote cloud-native best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines and using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience maintaining observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Demonstrated ownership of platform issues and a focus on long-term scalability and resilience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.
- Continued interest in developing knowledge of cloud-native tools, technologies, and practices.
