Responsibilities
- Own the developer delivery path end to end, improving systems for building, testing, and deploying changes.
- Lead the evolution of shared engineering foundations, including libraries and service templates.
- Drive improvements to CI performance, capacity, and reliability.
- Strengthen deployment and release infrastructure, including GitOps workflows and self-service tools.
- Operate and improve Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure that supports engineering workflows.
- Diagnose and automate solutions for recurring friction in build, CI, deploy, and runtime systems.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance platform engineering processes.
- Collaborate with service teams to guide adoption and improve usability of platform tools.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
- Experience with developer platforms or infrastructure systems like CI/CD and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of build systems and delivery workflows, including GitHub Actions and Bazel.
- Ability to debug complex failures across application code and infrastructure.
- Experience leading migrations or foundational platform changes.
- Product-minded approach to internal platform engineering, focusing on usability and feedback.
- Comfort using AI tools for engineering tasks.
- Strong communication skills to work across various engineering teams.
