2027 Software Engineer Program - Summer Internship - Glasgow & London

- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language while following established standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to understand problems, share feedback, and deliver reliable solutions.
- Document technical solutions and communicate problems and ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Use approved AI development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
- Apply automation and modern tooling across the software development lifecycle to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a fourth-year master’s degree with expected graduation between January 2028 and July 2028.
- Study Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, or a related field.
- Demonstrate oral and written fluency in English.
- Have basic knowledge of industry technology trends and best practices.
- Be able to write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language.
- Demonstrate collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and remain accountable for solution quality, correctness, and security.
- Preferred qualifications include curiosity about emerging technologies and experience applying software engineering skills to open-ended problems.
