$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in architectural and design discussions for AI/ML software packages.
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable software systems and critical backend components.
- Write complex, maintainable code and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Evaluate technologies and tools against project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, UX/UI, research, and quality assurance teams.
- Integrate software components into larger systems and execute software development projects.
- Implement and advocate for automated testing practices.
- Create and maintain accessible technical documentation for code, design, and architecture.
- Analyze complex technical problems, propose solutions, and serve as an escalation point for technical issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years as a software architect.
- Experience in the technology product industry and developing modern SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of scalable cloud-native systems, particularly private clouds using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Expertise with Python and common libraries for data manipulation and web application development.
- Experience with compiled languages such as Go, Rust, C, C++, or Java.
- Expertise in caching, operational data backends, and distributed application orchestration.
- Experience with authentication and authorization architectures and technologies including LDAP, SASL/SAML, OAuth, and JWT.
- Understanding of cloud-native design patterns using Kubernetes toolchains.
- Experience across the full application development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related computing field.
- Current U.S. government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and counterintelligence-scope polygraph eligibility.
- Department of Defense or Intelligence Community experience is preferred.
