- Develop and debug system software across pre-silicon simulation, emulation, and physical hardware environments.
- Support simulator, emulator, and platform bring-up; chip-level firmware development; integration; and validation.
- Apply GenAI techniques and tools to improve evidence retrieval, debug triage, root-cause analysis, and other engineering workflows.
- Validate AI-generated results against authoritative engineering evidence.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and global teams and produce technical documentation.
- Analyze logs, traces, failures, and hardware-software interactions, and potentially build debug tools, test infrastructure, workflow automation, APIs, or developer productivity solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding an MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related software or hardware engineering major.
- Strong programming skills in C and working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems, computer architecture, and ARM-based platforms.
- Practical familiarity with modern GenAI concepts and tools, including the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated results against engineering evidence.
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous and complex engineering problems into manageable, testable tasks.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
- System-level debugging and problem-solving experience, including analysis of logs, traces, failures, and complex hardware-software interactions, is a preferred qualification.
- Experience with pre-silicon simulation or emulation, platform bring-up, chip firmware, device drivers, post-silicon debugging, debug tools, test infrastructure, workflow automation, APIs, or developer productivity solutions is preferred.
- Understanding of GenAI evaluation, evidence grounding, data provenance, observability, and failure analysis is preferred.
Benefits
- This is an internship opportunity in NVIDIA’s 2027 RDSS (Research and Development Substitute Services) program.
- Applicants should confirm eligibility with the local district office before applying.
- Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities during the application, interview, and employment process.
