Base Salary
$150k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own backend services and system integrations across core business platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain reliable data ingestion patterns using APIs and batch workflows.
- Write and maintain production-grade services primarily in Python.
- Productionize data products that support analytics and data science initiatives.
- Improve platform reliability through monitoring and cost-aware architecture decisions.
- Translate cross-functional requirements into robust technical systems.
- Collaborate with the Data team to enhance analytics workflows.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in backend engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; TypeScript/Node is a plus.
- Experience building and operating production APIs and backend services.
- Experience designing and maintaining data ingestion workflows.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Composer.
- Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably with GCP.
- Strong reliability mindset with experience in building stable systems.
- Preferred: Familiarity with dbt and supporting analytics workflows.
- Preferred: Experience with data quality best practices.
- Preferred: Awareness of privacy and compliance considerations for data pipelines.
