Responsibilities
- Design and execute automated resilience tests across service boundaries and hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Improve the stability of end-user tools and frontend systems under latency and service interruptions.
- Contribute to platform-wide design guidelines for graceful degradation during adverse conditions.
- Develop observability tools to monitor and analyze holistic system health.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in Singapore, Mountain View, and Munich on software reliability strategies and standards.
Requirements
- A four-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience is required.
- At least three years of software engineering experience is required.
- Demonstrable cloud computing experience is required.
- Experience with Go, Python, or C++ is required.
- Experience with integration testing, fuzzing, and property-based testing is required.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Experience with physical-hardware systems such as robots, machinery, transportation, or logistics is preferred.
- Experience with Bazel and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Travis, Circle CI, Spinnaker, or Terraform is preferred.
- Experience with GitHub-based custom infrastructure and workflows, including monorepo setups, is preferred.
