Base Salary
$165k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy software for test systems, product platforms, and manufacturing data management.
- Design and standardize APIs connecting EDA tools, in-house photonic solvers, PDK infrastructure, and CI/CD systems.
- Build and maintain middleware and adapters for commercial and proprietary tools.
- Establish API versioning, schema validation, and backward-compatibility strategies for evolving toolchains.
- Implement logging, metrics, lineage tracking, observability, and traceability mechanisms for reproducible and auditable design runs.
- Collaborate with device, layout, simulation, software, and engineering teams to translate domain requirements into robust platform abstractions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with significant systems integration or platform architecture exposure.
- Proven experience designing and governing APIs, including REST, gRPC, and event-driven architectures, in complex multi-tool environments.
- Familiarity with data interchange formats such as Protocol Buffers and Avro.
- Experience integrating with data platforms such as Databricks and Tableau.
- Strong Python programming skills and proficiency in at least one systems or backend language such as Go, C++, Java, or Rust.
- Experience integrating heterogeneous proprietary or vendor tools with limited or inconsistent APIs.
- Experience defining canonical data models and managing schema and versioning strategies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems, Docker, and Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration platforms.
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and observability for distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of modularity, loose coupling, scalability, and reliability in software architecture.
- Experience in EDA, semiconductor, hardware, scientific computing, or a similar engineering-heavy domain.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, communication, independent execution, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in quantum computing and ability to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment.
