Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, scale, and own backend systems from architecture through deployment for high-performance financial products.
- Develop greenfield projects from scratch and make foundational technical decisions for the platform.
- Lead critical technical, design, and product discussions and drive best practices in system design, coding, testing, and DevOps.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, frontend, mobile, and adjacent engineering teams.
- Scope, build, and optimize customer-focused products and services.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Expertise architecting and productionizing large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to work across multiple technical areas and collaborate with frontend and mobile teams.
- Strong structured-thinking and analytical skills for solving complex systems challenges and implementing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Ability to take ownership, drive impact, and work effectively in a fast-moving, iterative, cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and secure coding practices, including experience designing resilient and reliable systems that meet high security and regulatory standards.
- Experience with lending, credit cards, payments, or other financial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems and financial technology is preferred.
