Base Salary
$131k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software development, verification, and validation for bio-wearable products.
- Ensure timely, high-quality software delivery within schedule and budget constraints.
- Implement FDA-compliant design control procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic advice for embedded software projects.
- Own technical aspects of C-based software products, including device drivers and low-level device interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants, and QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Research and resolve significant technical issues and propose solutions.
- Lead technical teams and participate from product specification through support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering Mathematics, or a related field with 10+ years of experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 7+ years or a Ph.D. with 2+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and structured software development or Object Modeling Design.
- Programming experience in C.
- Experience developing embedded systems for safety-critical products.
- Strong embedded debugging and troubleshooting experience, including use of embedded-environment debuggers.
- Experience designing and developing device drivers and low-level device interfaces.
- Detailed experience with medical-device development processes and FDA 510(k) and PMA regulatory requirements.
- Model-based design experience with UML or SysML is desirable.
- RF and BLE software design, device-driver configuration, and testing experience are preferred.
- Team leadership, mentorship, source control management, and embedded-device testing experience are preferred.
