Base Salary

$208k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale backend services for settlements and transfers across fiat, crypto, and internal ledger systems.
  • Drive code quality and maintainability through code reviews, refactoring, testing, documentation, and lifecycle participation.
  • Lead performance and scalability improvements, including troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving production issues.
  • Partner with product managers, engineering managers, and cross-functional teams on technical roadmaps and deliverables.
  • Propose and implement architectural improvements that improve team velocity, reduce technical debt, and strengthen reliability.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and raise technical standards across the team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining production services at scale.
  • Production experience with Go or a similar backend language, relational data stores such as Postgres or equivalent, and message-based architectures such as Kafka or equivalent.
  • Ability to own system design decisions, lead technical proposals, and drive alignment across engineering teams.
  • Experience identifying and resolving quality, performance, and scalability issues in distributed systems.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to high standards for code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
