Responsibilities
- Design and ship LLM-powered product features, including retrieval-augmented generation and multi-step agent workflows.
- Build evaluation harnesses to measure feature quality offline and in production and detect regressions.
- Develop versioned, tested prompt and context engineering workflows.
- Build and tune retrieval infrastructure using chunking, embeddings, vector search, hybrid filtering, caching, fallbacks, and guardrails.
- Design, build, and own data models and infrastructure for the Eclipse Platform and Data Marketplace.
- Implement data quality monitoring with source-to-target validation and anomaly detection.
- Design and optimize data pipelines, data ingestion tools, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse systems.
- Build dashboards for platform performance, availability, and user behavior.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Cloud, IT, Security, and leadership teams on governance, reporting, and product decisions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping an LLM-backed feature to real users and measuring its quality.
- Working knowledge of embeddings, vector stores, retrieval, and limitations of naive retrieval-augmented generation.
- Proficiency in data modeling, analysis, relational database design, data warehousing, and multidimensional data models.
- Experience processing large, disconnected, structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Expertise building data ingestion tools with Python, including web scraping and external APIs.
- Proficiency with Python data science packages including NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, NLTK, TensorFlow, and Matplotlib.
- Proficiency in machine learning, natural language processing, or deep learning using Python.
- Experience with PySpark, ETL/ELT development, rapid prototyping, and complex analytics.
- Experience maintaining ETL artifacts such as schemas, data dictionaries, and transforms.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and strong documentation skills.
- Financial-services experience is preferred.
