Responsibilities
- Provide intraday desk-facing coverage and production ownership for Credit Repo, Credit Exotics, and Genesis-based trading workflows.
- Triage, investigate, and resolve issues across trading, booking, pricing, risk, margin, workflow, and reporting tools.
- Design, develop, maintain, refactor, and modernize software across UI, service, data, and integration layers.
- Improve application stability, resilience, performance, automated test coverage, release validation, monitoring, and alerting.
- Deliver enhancements for Credit Repo, Exotics, TRS, and PB workflows, including trade booking, risk/PnL, margin, settlement, collateral, curve/marking, and reporting.
- Partner with business users and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust solutions and integrate financial models and risk calculations.
- Support Genesis workflow expansion, APIs, automation, and migration away from legacy tooling.
- Communicate technical issues and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders, support on-call rotation, improve runbooks, and help develop junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative or computational discipline.
- Strong hands-on software development experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, C++, C#, Python, or similar.
- Experience building and supporting medium- to large-scale server-side applications.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, data flows, and production support patterns.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with business users, explain technical topics clearly, operate with limited supervision, and collaborate effectively.
- Preferred experience includes front-office technology, trading tools, risk systems, pricing platforms, financial workflow automation, or Genesis.
- Preferred knowledge includes Fixed Income, Repo, TRS, Structured Notes, CDS, CDS Index, CDS Index Options, CDS Index Tranches, Repacks, and PB.
- Preferred experience includes risk/PnL, margin, collateral, settlement, curve/marking, trade booking, workflow, reporting, distributed computing, grid/cloud platforms, service integration, APIs, data-driven workflows, DevOps, continuous delivery, mentoring, or global team coordination.
