Responsibilities
- Write, review, and ship production client-platform code and deliver features from technical approach through release.
- Build and maintain high-performance 2D graphics editing and rendering capabilities for creative features.
- Optimize application startup time, memory usage, responsiveness, rendering, battery life, and network efficiency.
- Implement application security using encryption, secure authentication, certificate validation, and secure credential or key management.
- Develop automated tests, CI/CD automation, release processes, feature-flagged rollouts, and deployment workflows for App Store, Google Play, or desktop distribution.
- Own release health through telemetry, including crash-free rates, performance budgets, and defect trends.
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX, design, and engineering teams while sharing knowledge and mentoring other engineers.
- Evaluate and recommend platform, AI, and tooling technologies that improve engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional client/frontend software development experience with deep production expertise in iOS, Android, or Electron/Angular.
- Hands-on experience with platform-relevant graphics and rendering technologies such as Core Graphics, Metal, Canvas, Skia, Vulkan, WebGL, or CanvasKit.
- Experience developing backend APIs with a modern stack such as .NET/ASP.NET Core, Node.js with NestJS/Express, Java with Spring Boot, or Python with FastAPI/Django.
- At least one year of practical experience using modern AI engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including relevant AI/LLM integration experience.
- Expert proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, or TypeScript and strong expertise with SwiftUI/UIKit, Jetpack Compose, or Electron/Angular.
- Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency, Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, or modern asynchronous JavaScript/RxJS.
- Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVI, or component-based architecture; REST API consumption; automated testing; and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills using Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler, or browser/Electron developer tools.
- Working knowledge of Keychain, Android Keystore, or equivalent secure credential storage, plus application telemetry and observability tools such as Datadog or Firebase.
- Clear communication, effective collaboration with product and UX, knowledge sharing, and curiosity about AI-assisted development are expected.
