Senior Software Developer in Computer-Aided Design

- Develop and maintain a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design-engineering requirements.
- Implement algorithms for geometrical operations and other CAD functionality supporting innovative sensor designs.
- Develop and review the tool architecture for flexibility and maintainability.
- Optimize the tool for efficiency and usability by incorporating user experience feedback.
- Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
- Automate design workflows to reduce the development time for new sensors.
- Support users in applying the tool.
- Apply modern AI capabilities to design workflows.
- Help shape the technical roadmap and mentor and inspire colleagues.
Requirements
- Education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline, with a track record in software development.
- At least three years of professional software development experience.
- Required experience with Java, preferably desktop application development.
- Required experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities.
- Professional English communication skills in written and spoken form.
- Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is strongly preferred.
- Programming experience in MATLAB is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
- Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) is advantageous.
