Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface for sensor design engineers.
- Implement geometrical and other algorithms supporting innovative MEMS sensor designs.
- Develop and review tool architecture for flexibility and maintainability.
- Optimize the tool for efficiency and usability based on user experience.
- Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
- Automate design workflows to reduce the development time of new sensors.
- Support users in applying the tool.
- Apply modern AI capabilities to design workflows.
- Help shape the technical roadmap and mentor colleagues.
Requirements
- Relevant education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline with a track record in software development.
- At least three years of professional software development experience.
- Required experience with Java, preferably for desktop application development.
- Required experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities.
- Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is strongly preferred.
- Programming experience in MATLAB is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
- Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Professional written and spoken English.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, and independent working skills.
