Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain complex frontend and backend features and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA partners to refine requirements and deliver software.
- Write unit, integration, and contract tests and champion automated testing and TDD practices.
- Build and maintain AWS deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
- Monitor service health and investigate production issues using DataDog while improving observability.
- Own the performance, reliability, security, and maintainability of shipped code.
- Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, incident learning, and development workflow improvements.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong TypeScript experience with Node.js and React, plus excellent JavaScript fundamentals.
- Experience building and operating production systems on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience developing within an event-driven architecture.
- Experience with technical design and solution architecture.
- Deep knowledge of automated testing and TDD principles.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Pragmatic, product-focused problem solving with strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
