Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new platform services and global architectural changes from inception and design through deployment and operations.
- Maintain and improve on-premise and public-cloud Kubernetes deployments.
- Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Scale cloud-based systems while balancing reliability and delivery velocity.
- Develop deployment, backup, and restore processes.
- Train and coach colleagues across the global organization and support onboarding of new hires.
Requirements
- University degree in informatics, computer science, or a similar field, plus long-term relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Golang or Python, ideally both, along with experience in Bash.
- Strong Linux/Unix systems administration background.
- Understanding of application networking and security concepts such as ingress and egress.
- Experience with logging and monitoring stacks including Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, and fluent-bit.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Istio service mesh.
- Understanding of hyperscaler concepts such as AWS autoscaling or equivalent cloud-provider capabilities.
- Familiarity with continuous deployment tools such as ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of identity providers and identity access management, including Keycloak and OAuth2 Proxy.
- Ability to build backup and restore processes.
