Responsibilities
- Plan and execute functional, non-functional, integration, and security testing for cloud-based software applications.
- Validate device-to-cloud communication, data integrity, scalability, reliability, and security across distributed IoT ecosystems.
- Review requirements and technical designs to identify testing scope and quality risks.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, scenarios, cases, and data based on requirements and risk analysis.
- Design, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Execute manual and automated tests, evaluate results, and communicate quality status.
- Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain test documentation, metrics, reports, and release readiness assessments.
- Participate in automation code reviews and improve test maintainability and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, tools, processes, and quality standards.
- Work with local and remote teams across multiple geographic locations and time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in software testing with strong hands-on automation testing experience.
- Experience testing web-based applications across functional and non-functional domains.
- Ability to develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and quality reporting processes.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
- Working knowledge of Java or C#.
- Knowledge of IoT communication technologies and protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus, and TCP.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for project tracking, defect management, and test management.
- Hands-on API testing experience using Postman and REST Assured.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Understanding of containerization technologies and concepts.
- Relevant professional experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering.
- Preferred experience with cybersecurity-focused SDLC practices and secure testing techniques.
- Preferred knowledge of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
- Preferred experience testing cloud-based digital twin applications and industrial automation, Industrial IoT, or connected-device ecosystems.
- Experience with globally distributed Agile development teams is preferred.
