Software Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Manage SQL operations on PostgreSQL RDS instances.
- Create and modify databases, tables, indexes, views, and database partitions.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and resource monitoring.
- Perform periodic backups and ensure data recoverability during disasters.
- Develop database scripts for large-volume migrations across multiple databases and schemas.
- Write and optimize PL/SQL code, SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and views.
- Troubleshoot database, SQL, and application-integration issues.
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database code with application logic.
- Develop and maintain database documentation and operating procedures.
Requirements
- Experience with PostgreSQL RDS and managing SQL operations on PostgreSQL RDS instances.
- Ability to develop and optimize PL/SQL and SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Ability to perform complex database migrations involving large volumes of data.
- Ability to monitor database performance metrics including CPU, memory, and disk utilization.
- Ability to troubleshoot SQL and database issues independently and with application developers.
