Responsibilities
- Design and develop audio signal-processing and machine-learning algorithms for speech and audio applications.
- Apply modern machine-learning and deep-learning approaches together with classical DSP techniques to audio and time-series data.
- Investigate new modeling approaches and translate research ideas into practical, scalable solutions.
- Deploy and optimize algorithms for reliable real-time operation on production hardware.
- Balance audio quality, ML performance, and system constraints while delivering robust algorithms for real-world conditions.
- Influence product direction through technical insight and data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience applying machine learning to audio or time-series data.
- Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing, including sampling, filtering, FFTs, and spectral analysis.
- Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for research and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of audio systems and acoustics.
- Strong communication skills.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred: practical knowledge of PyTorch, ONNX, TensorFlow, and/or TFLite.
- Preferred: audio DSP experience using Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++.
- Preferred: experience with audio source separation, speech enhancement, echo reduction, or microphone-array signal processing.
- Preferred: strong software engineering practices including debugging, profiling, and version control.
- Preferred: proficiency in C and/or C++ for performance-critical systems.
- Preferred: publications, patents, or demonstrated innovation in DSP or machine learning.
