  • Build and operationalise omics data products and analytical workflows across transcriptomics, single-cell omics, CRISPR/functional genomics, proteomics, and multi-omics datasets.
  • Develop and maintain statistical genetics pipelines for GWAS ingestion and harmonisation, variant annotation, fine-mapping, colocalisation, Mendelian randomisation, gene burden testing, and genetics-driven target prioritisation.
  • Implement automated validation, monitoring, lineage, testing, release management, data governance, and compliance practices.
  • Contribute to future-state data platform architecture and data engineering best practices.
  • Develop strong partnerships across research, data engineering, data science, and AI functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistical genetics, data science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant hands-on experience in data engineering, bioinformatics engineering, statistical genetics engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating production data pipelines for specialised omics and/or genetics datasets.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing, programming and scripting languages, and workflow orchestration technologies such as Python, R, Bash, SQL, Nextflow, Airflow, and Databricks.
  • Expertise in ETL processes, data pipelines, metadata harmonisation, data lifecycle management, data product release processes, and operational support.
  • Experience operationalising analytical workflows including differential expression, gene set/pathway enrichment, single-cell analysis, CRISPR screen analytics, GWAS harmonisation, fine-mapping, and colocalisation.
  • Hands-on expertise in data modelling, scientific metadata design, lineage, quality controls, and biological database design.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and scientific audiences.
  • Ability to work pragmatically and collaboratively in environments with evolving processes and distributed ownership.

Benefits
