Responsibilities
- Analyze systems and programming requirements, identify issues, and propose solutions and program specifications.
- Develop system specifications and code, modify, test, and debug computer programs.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and software components.
- Design and model solutions to complex programming problems.
- Review designs and deliverables for code and design quality.
- Develop, support, and maintain complex software components.
- Provide technical direction and guide the project team on development activities, code quality, and timelines.
- Write unit and integration tests and participate in regression-testing strategies.
- Provide Level 1 application support and resolve complex defects.
- Organize and manage production sessions and work independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least eight years of significant software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Extensive Angular experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, containers, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Quebec-based candidates must be bilingual in French and English due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking colleagues across Canada.
