Base Salary
$145k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain the core software release cycle through rolling development releases and long-term support releases.
- Own performance across the vehicle by analyzing interactions among sensing, compute, and controls.
- Integrate and deploy the autonomy stack on vehicles and validate it under real-world conditions.
- Analyze test results, identify issues and root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver new behaviors, payload integrations, and emerging use cases.
- Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain production-quality software for autonomous systems.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- B.S. or M.S. in computer science, engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Experience integrating and validating software on physical hardware.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable code with durable test coverage and documentation.
- Ability to debug across subsystem boundaries and trace vehicle symptoms to root causes.
- Ability to deliver and maintain production-quality software in a continuously integrated environment.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Preferred experience developing software for robotics and autonomous systems.
- Preferred leadership experience on cross-functional software teams.
- Preferred experience with state machines, motion or path planning, navigation, mapping algorithms, robot perception, ROS2, DDS, Conan, real-time operating systems, embedded programming, or safety-critical systems.
- Preferred familiarity with MIL-STD-882, ISO-26262, or DO-178 and interest in applying AI coding agents to testing, code review, and developer tooling.
