Responsibilities

  • Define scalable front-end architecture using React and TypeScript, including state management, API contracts, caching, and streaming strategies.
  • Own and evolve Bosch’s digital design system, component library, design tokens, documentation, and adoption standards.
  • Design and implement workflow builders, real-time dashboards, wizards, and data-intensive enterprise interfaces.
  • Ensure accessibility, internationalization, performance, regional data support, and usability across global markets.
  • Establish testing strategies, CI/CD quality gates, static checks, bundle analysis, and front-end security practices.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend teams to align designs, technical feasibility, and API contracts.
  • Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, establish engineering standards, and support hiring and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of professional front-end experience, including 3 years leading teams or major initiatives on large-scale web applications.
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Sass or CSS Modules, and modern layout techniques.
  • Extensive experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and state management technologies such as Redux or MobX; React experience with reusable stateful components and hooks is required.
  • Experience adopting design systems across at least two product modules with documented components and usage guidelines.
  • Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Strong automated testing experience with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Deep understanding of Web Accessibility and WCAG, SEO best practices, front-end security risks, XSS/CSP, and handling untrusted content.
  • Experience delivering localized products in multiple languages, including at least one RTL locale, and supporting varied network conditions.
  • Experience with workflow tools, IT operations, project management, SaaS automation, design token pipelines, Storybook, visual regression testing, observability, feature flagging, or A/B testing is preferred.
