Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to understand functional and operational requirements.
  • Design and implement critical new features and robust, testable application code.
  • Develop non-functional improvements for reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Contribute to automated test suites, code reviews, debugging, and implementation standards.
  • Analyze business and system processes to resolve high-impact problems and define innovative solutions.
  • Partner with management, trading, development, and application support teams to integrate functions and deploy new products and process improvements.
  • Ensure application designs adhere to the overall architecture blueprint and assess operational and compliance risks.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in software application development.
  • Strong design and programming skills in Java and experience with the Java ecosystem.
  • Experience with system analysis, application performance, and component testability.
  • Familiarity with credit derivative products and associated pricing and risk calculations.
  • Experience working in mature, large-scale, collaborative development environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to adjust priorities and challenge existing practices.
  • Exposure to streaming frameworks, profiling, debugging, and monitoring tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • UI development experience and familiarity with front-office technology are preferred or advantageous.
