Responsibilities
- Identify and respond to security incidents on a global scale.
- Serve as incident commander and drive incidents through the complete response lifecycle.
- Design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows for a 24/7 incident-response capability.
- Conduct threat hunting, anticipate future threats, and develop strategies to combat sophisticated threat actors.
- Research threat-intelligence reports and manage resulting workflows.
- Partner with stakeholders across the company to improve preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and postmortem processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing security incidents at global scale and/or working in SOC, PSIRT, or CSIRT environments.
- Expertise with SIEM systems such as ELK, Google BigQuery, and Splunk; Splunk proficiency is preferred.
- Expertise with endpoint detection and investigation, including hands-on experience with leading EDR tools and endpoint telemetry.
- Expertise with SOAR platforms such as Tines or Splunk SOAR.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Real-world software development and/or engineering-operations experience for consumer products and services.
- Practical experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, or Microsoft Azure.
- A B.S. in a technology-focused field is helpful.
