Responsibilities
- Ship production code and customer-facing features early in the role.
- Own features end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring metrics, and fixing issues.
- Use AI for coding, debugging, testing, research, and workflow automation, and help advance the team’s use of AI.
- Collaborate directly with Product, Design, and senior engineers.
- Build backend services, APIs, and interfaces, or develop data and ML pipelines, models, and production systems depending on the selected track.
Requirements
- Be at the start of a software career without prior full-time software experience.
- Have a technical foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field, or demonstrate equivalent ability through code.
- Provide demonstrable projects such as a GitHub portfolio, deployed application, widely used repository, hackathon win, open-source contribution, or useful bot.
- Have built with AI, such as agents, RAG systems, evaluations, fine-tunes, or automation tools, and use AI tools regularly in software development.
- Demonstrate strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking through experience such as competitive programming, a strong thesis, or serious research.
- Have English proficiency for daily technical communication.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and the ability to complete work independently.
- Basic Portuguese proficiency or willingness to learn it is preferred.
